We live in a hypermediated and increasingly technical world, yet our imaginaries of technological possibility remain constrained by defunct assumptions, inherited paradigms, and legacies of ideational debt. Material and symbolic infrastructures mutate; sociotechnical systems proliferate; but conceptual vocabularies often lag behind. Strangeways Idea Lab is a multidisciplinary working group that explores strange new ways of thinking about technics and technology.
